What happened here?

Michael Hutchence grew up at 24 Howell Avenue in Lane Cove, on Sydney's north shore. Born in 1960, he spent his early childhood here before the family moved to Hong Kong when he was around twelve. He returned to Sydney as a teenager, attending Davidson High School in Belrose where he met Andrew Farriss — and INXS was born.

The house

The original home at 24 Howell Avenue has been demolished and rebuilt. A new house now stands in its place. There is nothing at the site to mark its connection to Hutchence.
