A two-and-a-half-storey mural of Dylan on the side of the old Bison Hotel on Broadway.

A two-and-a-half-storey black and white mural of Bob Dylan covers the side of the former Bison Hotel at 413 Broadway N in downtown Fargo. It was painted in 2022 by Los Angeles-based artist Jules Muck. The mural shows a young Dylan leaning against the wall, hands folded over a newspaper, smoking a cigarette.
Dylan spent the summer of 1959 in Fargo. He worked as a busboy at the Red Apple Cafe (604 Main Ave, now Babb's Coffee) and hung out in the Bison Hotel lounge. He introduced himself to Bobby Vee's brother at Sam's Record Land as "Elston Gunnn" (three n's) and briefly played keyboards for Vee's band. He was 18.
The mural is on the side of 413 Broadway N in downtown Fargo, visible from the street.
