Yatesville Lake State Park — Louisa, Kentucky

Yatesville Lake State Park is a 2,242-acre recreational area located six miles west of Louisa, Kentucky, along the U.S. 23 Country Music Highway corridor. The park sits on the shores of Yatesville Lake and offers fishing, a golf course, marina, and hiking trails.

While not a music landmark itself, the park is a stop along the Country Music Highway — the stretch of U.S. Route 23 through eastern Kentucky that produced an extraordinary density of country, bluegrass, and roots music artists. The highway’s official markers and museums trace a musical heritage that includes Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, Chris Stapleton, The Judds, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam, and many others.
