The interior of the 'Gas Works' rock club — where Wayne watches Cassandra Wong and Crucial Taunt perform, and where Garth tests his stun gun on an unsuspecting bully — was filmed at the Arena nightclub at 6655 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. The dark, sweaty club interior captured the authentic feel of early-90s rock venues where local bands battled for attention and groupies. Tia Carrere's performances as Cassandra, including her rendition of 'Ballroom Blitz,' were filmed on the Arena's stage.

The Gas Works scenes are central to Wayne's World's celebration of rock club culture.
