Every Elvis fan knows the photo — Elvis in uniform, leaning casually against the railings of the Usa Bridge in Bad Nauheim. Since August 2021, a life-sized bronze statue recreating that pose has stood on the renovated bridge. It is the only bronze Elvis statue in Germany.
The project
The Elvis in Bronze project was initiated by Meike Berger and Angela Storm, who spent two years collecting donations from Elvis fans around the world. The statue was unveiled during the 19th European Elvis Festival in Bad Nauheim. It recreates the pose from the 1959 European release Greetings From Germany.
Visiting today
The statue is on the pedestrian bridge over the Usa river in the Kurpark. It is free and accessible any time. One of the most photographed spots in Bad Nauheim.
