The shop's most significant contribution to Dylan's career came in 1974, when it lent him a vintage Martin guitar that he used for the Minneapolis sessions of Blood on the Tracks — widely considered one of the greatest albums ever made.
The Podium no longer operates as a guitar shop. The building is in the Dinkytown neighbourhood near the University of Minnesota campus.
