2135 1st Ave
Hibbing, Minnesota, USA
47.4298° N · -92.9266° W
Get DirectionsThe Lybba Theatre was built and operated by Bob Dylan's uncles from 1947 to 1976. It was named after his grandmother Lybba. The Zimmerman family had deep roots in Hibbing's business community, and the theatre was a fixture on 1st Avenue for nearly three decades. The young Robert Zimmerman would have known this place well.
The building at 2135 1st Avenue is now Sunrise Deli. The original theatre is gone but the family connection makes it a notable stop on the Hibbing Dylan trail.
