Grammy Museum — Los Angeles

The Grammy Museum opened on December 6, 2008 — the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards — at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center). The four-storey museum is dedicated to the history and cultural impact of music across all genres, housing rotating exhibits, interactive displays, and an extensive archive of Grammy-related artefacts. It serves as both a public museum and an educational institution, with programmes for students and aspiring musicians.

The museum's permanent and rotating exhibits cover the full spectrum of recorded music, from the earliest phonograph recordings through contemporary hip hop and electronic music. Past exhibitions have focused on individual artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Marley, the Grateful Dead, and Taylor Swift, as well as broader themes like the history of Latin music and the evolution of hip hop. The museum also hosts intimate concert performances and artist interviews in its Clive Davis Theater.

The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live is open to the public and is the flagship location of the Grammy Museum network, which also includes a satellite facility in Cleveland, Mississippi (near the crossroads of Highway 61 and 49). The museum draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually and is one of the most significant music-focused cultural institutions on the West Coast.
