Freebird Live at 200 N 1st Street in Jacksonville Beach is a music venue named in honour of Lynyrd Skynyrd's most celebrated song — operated by the Van Zant family as both a working concert venue and a tribute to the Jacksonville origins of Southern rock. The venue hosts regular live music across rock, country, and Southern rock genres and serves as a focal point for the Lynyrd Skynyrd heritage community in the Jacksonville area. Its existence reflects the enduring local pride in a band that grew from Jacksonville's working-class west side to international stardom in the early 1970s before being devastated by the 1977 plane crash.

'Free Bird' was the defining song of Lynyrd Skynyrd's catalogue — a slow-building ballad that opens with Ronnie Van Zant's voice over Billy Powell's piano before erupting into one of the longest and most celebrated guitar solos in rock history, featuring Rossington and Collins trading leads for several minutes.
