Michigan St
Duluth, Minnesota, USA

Get DirectionsBob Dylan Way is a 1.8-mile cultural pathway running along Michigan Street from 5th Avenue West to 14th Avenue East, then continuing along London Road in Duluth. The route connects several locations significant to Dylan's early years in the city, ending at the Duluth Armory where he saw Buddy Holly perform in 1959.
Along the pathway, artistically designed manhole covers feature references to Dylan's lyrics and life. They are easy to miss if you are not looking for them, but once you start spotting them they make for a satisfying walking tour through the city where Robert Zimmerman was born.
The pathway is freely accessible and makes for a pleasant walk through Duluth. Start at the western end on Michigan Street and work your way toward the Duluth Armory on London Road. Keep your eyes on the ground for the manhole covers.
