Get Directions12 Arnold Grove is a small Victorian terraced house in a cul-de-sac in Wavertree, Liverpool, where George Harrison was born on 25 February 1943. His parents Harold and Louise Harrison had moved in after their marriage in 1931, and George grew up here with his siblings Louise, Harry, and Peter. The family lived at Arnold Grove until 1950, when they relocated to 25 Upton Green in Speke.
Harrison described it as "two rooms up and two rooms down" with tiny 10x10 foot rooms, a single coal fire for heating, an outside toilet, and a small iron cooking stove in the back room that served as the kitchen. The house sits in a cul-de-sac with a rear alley, near the Picton Clock Tower in Wavertree.
12 Arnold Grove is a private residence. A blue plaque was installed on 24 May 2024 — one of the first located outside of London. The house is viewable from the street and is a short distance from other Beatles landmarks in Liverpool.
