Get Directions10 Admiral Grove is a Victorian terraced house in Toxteth, Liverpool, where Ringo Starr lived for twenty years from the age of three until 1963, when he became famous with The Beatles. The Empress pub, adjacent to the property, appeared on the cover of Starr's debut solo album Sentimental Journey (1970).
During Beatlemania, the BBC documentary The Mersey Sound filmed Starr being mobbed by fans outside the house. Starr later referenced both his Madryn Street birthplace and Admiral Grove in his 2008 song "Liverpool 8".
Unlike the childhood homes of Lennon and McCartney, 10 Admiral Grove is not a National Trust property. A Beatles fan purchased the house in 2016 for £70,000. The house and the Empress pub next door are viewable from the street.
